On November 26, 2021, CIMC Vehicle (Thailand) Company Limited signed an agreement with Amata City Rayong Company and Thai-Chinese Industrial Realty Development Company for the purchase of more than 6 hectares of land to expand production. The expansion marks another successful step forward for CIMC Vehicles Thailand to grow its local operations to serve domestic and export markets.

China International Marine Containers (CIMC) Group, headquartered in Shenzhen, P.R. China, was founded in 1980. It is a world leading supplier of logistics and energy equipment. The group operates more than 20 production bases and exports to over 30 countries worldwide. In 2002, the group began with the production and sales of a variety of semi-trailers and refrigerated compartment bodies.

By the end of 2007, CIMC Vehicle (Thailand) Co., Ltd., as one of the first customers in the new zone, invested in Thai-Chinese Rayong industrial zone at Amata City Rayong industrial estates, and officially started production in 2008 serving the Thailand market with semi-trailers; at present CIMC Vehicle Thailand has a market share of 90%, with more than 100 dealers and customers.

Early this year, CIMC Vehicle (Thailand) celebrated another key milestone with the opening of phase 2 within their premises, a new, fully automated production to further innovate technology to manufacture high-quality and high-value semi-trailers and related products.
