Bright Future For Amata Water’s Sustainable Solar Projects

Written on .

As part of its continued efforts to create a sustainable and renewable energy environment for the wider community and Amata’s stakeholders – Amata Water welcomes its latest solar energy projects to its clean energy portfolio.

Amata Water, an affiliate of Amata Public Corporation Limited (or Amata) recently completed a number of renewable energy projects across its two flagship industrial estates in Thailand – Amata City Chonburi and Amata City Rayong.

The projects, which consist of solar energy generation, are both floating solar and ground mounted solar farms. These projects, which were rolled out this year, add an impressive 2,152 kWp of capacity to Amata’s green energy portfolio.

These latest additions by Amata are part of a long line of green energy initiatives undertaken by the Industrial Estate developer since 2017. These previous projects include a combination of floating solar and rooftop solar installations. The floating solar projects have been deployed atop Amata’s water reservoirs located within its estates.

Amata’s green energy drive is far from over and the Industrial Estate Developer is charging ahead with several more floating solar projects which are set to come online next year. When these projects begin operation, the entirety of Amata’s clean energy footprint will reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 2,747.09 Ton CO2e/Y.

Commenting on these recent developments Mr. Chuchat Saitin, Managing Director of Amata Water praised the transition towards green energy adoption. “Amata cares deeply about environmental conservation, responsible and sustainable development as part of the legacy we give the next generation” he said. “Amata continues to think of new and revolutionary ways in which we can reduce carbon emissions and we strive to be a market leader in this regard” he added.
