AMATA Strengthens Ties with Local Authorities, Expresses Commitment to Expand Investment in Vietnam

Dong Nai & Ho Chi Minh City, November 3, 2025 - A high-level delegation led by H.E. Urawadee Sriphiromya, Ambassador of Thailand to Vietnam, together with AMATA Group’s Chairman - Mr. Vikrom Kromadit, CEO of AMATA VN PCL. - Mrs. Somhatai Panichewa, and other board members, paid courtesy visits to leaders of Dong Nai Province in the morning and Ho Chi Minh City in the afternoon.

During the meeting with Mr. Vo Tan Duc, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Dong Nai province, the Thai Ambassador and AMATA leaders reaffirmed the strong strategic partnership between Thai enterprises and Vietnam’s southern provinces. AMATA expressed appreciation for the province’s long-standing support and emphasized its desire to accelerate the implementation of new industrial and township projects, calling for continued assistance in land clearance and infrastructure development.

In the afternoon, the delegation met with Mr. Nguyen Van Duoc, Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee, to discuss ongoing collaboration and future expansion plans. Mrs. Somhathai Panichewa shared AMATA’s vision to invest an additional USD 1.5 billion in Vietnam, focusing on developing high-tech and logistics industrial cities, including a planned project in Cu Bi commune, Chau Duc district, which is expected to become part of the expanded Ho Chi Minh City area.

Ambassador Urawadee reaffirmed Thailand’s commitment to strengthening the comprehensive strategic partnership between the two nations and expressed confidence that Ho Chi Minh City will continue to be a leading destination for Thai investors.

Chairman Nguyen Van Duoc welcomed AMATA’s continued commitment and contribution to the city’s development, affirming that Ho Chi Minh City “always stands ready to accompany and support investors for mutual success.”
