Siam City Concrete and Amata Corporation Sign MoU for Green Construction and Sustainable Development

Chonburi, 18 February 2025 – Siam City Concrete Co., Ltd. (INSEE Concrete), represented by Mr. Montri Nithikul, CEO of Thailand Cement Business, Siam City Cement PCL., and Amata Corporation PCL., represented by Dr. Viwat Kromadit, CTO and CEO of Real Estate Thailand, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to promote sustainable construction. The partnership aims to support Thailand’s transition to a low-carbon economy through the use of sustainable building materials in industrial and infrastructure projects.

Dr. Viwat Kromadit emphasized Amata Group’s commitment to sustainability, stating, “We believe in adopting environmentally friendly materials to help mitigate global warming while elevating Thailand’s construction industry to international standards in efficiency and durability.”

INSEE Concrete, under the Siam City Cement Group, is committed to achieving net-zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2065, in alignment with Thailand’s National Determined Contributions (NDCs). Also, the Company has been certified with the Carbon Footprint Certification from the Thailand Greenhouse Gas Management Organization (TGO). Among the Siam City Concrete’s portfolio, 14 products, including ready-mixed concrete with compressive strengths ranging from 180-800 KSC, have been certified for carbon footprint reduction.

Also present at the ceremony, Mr. Craig Stewart Bickley, CEO of Siam City Concrete Co., Ltd., emphasized the importance of sustainable construction in driving long-term environmental benefits and highlighted the longstanding partnership between Amata and INSEE Concrete, founded on shared principles of ethical and sustainable business practices according to the Siam City Cement Group Sustainability Ambition 2030. Mr. Bickley introduced ‘INSEE Petch Easy Flow,’ a hydraulic cement with high-compressive, eco-friendly concrete designed for durability and ease of use across various applications.

Under the theme "Change for a Better World," both companies are committed to advancing a low-carbon society and fostering a green industrial city in Thailand. This collaboration marks a significant step in raising industry awareness and driving meaningful action toward sustainability.
