AMATA Makes an Outstanding Participation in the "Meet Thailand" Event Quang Tri
On the occasion of the 47th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations (1976-2023) and the 10th anniversary of the establishment of the Vietnam-Thailand strategic partnership (2013-2023), the People's Committee of Quang Tri province coordinated with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and The Thai Embassy in Vietnam to hold a conference "Meet Thailand" during August 3-4, 2023, at Dong Ha City, Quang Tri province.
The conference, the first of its kind, aimed at boosting trade cooperation between the two countries and between Quang Tri province and Thai organizations and was attended by H.E. The Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to Vietnam, the Thai Business Association in Vietnam, organizations and agencies and about 40 Thai corporations and businesses in Vietnam as well as businesses from Thailand, including a delegation of members of local government officials from five provinces, namely Mukdahan, Ubon Ratchathani, Sakon Nakhon, Nakhon Phanom and Khon Kaen.

Within the framework of the event, beside of showcasing displays to promote culture, tourism, investment and typical products of the two countries, the highlight was the conference on "Meet Thailand" to discuss key topics on "Renewable energy and high-tech agriculture" and "Supply chain integration on the East-West Economic Corridor". In the later, Chief Executive Officer of AMATA VN Pcl. Mrs. Somhatai Panechiwa gave a great presentation about AMATA Group, emphasizing on the importance of industrial parks along key logistics corridors connecting Thailand and Vietnam and within the region.
She suggested that an upgrade to smart infrastructure, building supply and logistics chain are a winning formula when it comes to cooperation and the attraction of foreign manufacturing investment.

Besides of having implemented many successful projects in Vietnam's North and South, AMATA is also joining hands with two partners VSIP and Sumitomo in a consortium project to develop Quang Tri Industrial Park on 481.2 hectares of land. This project has been considered as one of the key developments supporting the province and received much attention from top provincial leaders throughout courtesy discussions on day two of the event.
