Amata Earns Carbon Footprint for Organization (CFO) Certification for 5th Year Running

Posted on | Business News

On September 8, 2025, Mr. Numchai Nilthong, Manager of the Environmental Engineering Department at Amata Corporation Public Company Limited, represented the company in receiving the “Carbon Footprint for Organization (CFO)” certificate from the Thailand Greenhouse Gas Management Organization (Public Organization), or TGO.

This year’s ceremony gathered more than 120 organizations certified with greenhouse gas management labels, including Net Zero, CFP, and CFO. The event recognized and honored organizations for their contributions to greenhouse gas reduction while also encouraging industries to implement tangible environmental initiatives.

Amata prepares its greenhouse gas emissions inventory annually in accordance with TGO’s CFO guidelines and methodologies, covering direct emissions (Scope 1), indirect emissions from energy use (Scope 2), and other indirect emissions (Scope 3). The report covers three key locations: the Bangkok head office, Amata City Chonburi Industrial Estate, and Amata City Rayong Industrial Estate. Since the commencement of its inventory in 2019, Amata has reduced emissions by 25.6%, driven by improved energy efficiency, reduced fossil fuel use, and greater adoption of solar energy.

This recognition reinforces Amata’s long-term sustainability policy and commitment to decarbonization, reflecting ongoing efforts to integrate energy efficiency, renewable energy, and environmental responsibility into operations, while contributing to global climate change mitigation goals.
