Industrial Estate Authority of Thailand Opens Industry Transformation Center

Somjin Piluek, Governor of the Industrial Estate Authority of Thailand (IEAT) and Viboon Kromadit, Director and Chief Marketing Officer of Amata Corporation PCL., presided over the opening ceremony of the new SMEs- Industrial Transformation Center (ITC) at Amata City Chonburi, and at the same time, signed a cooperation agreement that aims to support small and medium enterprises (SMEs) to become more competitive. Under the Thailand 4.0 policy, the government aims to develop industry by enhancing productivity and stimulating product development by the means of technology and innovation by sustainable methods.

The ITC center will be equipped with a meeting room and small office space and will assist SMEs, startups, investors and entrepreneurs with business services like consulting, commercial and financial research, thus service as a business incubator.

IEAT has opened a total of thirteen such branches in various industrial estates all over Thailand.

At the same time, Somjin Piluek chaired over a signing ceremony with companies operating at Amata, which all agree to act like ‘big brothers’ in welcoming customers of the ITC center to visit their businesses, study technologies and systems, as such being a model for innovation, technology and management practices. The nine companies are Amata Corporation PCL., Denso (Thailand) Co., Ltd., EXEDY Friction Material Co., Ltd., Hitachi Asia (Thailand) Co., Ltd., Siam DENSO Manufacturing Co., Ltd., Sumipol Corporation Limited, TBKK (Thailand) Co., Ltd., Thai – German Institute, Thai Tohken Thermo Co., Ltd.
