Thai Chamber of Commerce Meets with Deputy Prime Minister to Boost Vietnam Trade

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Affairs Minister Dr. Panpree Phahitthanukorn convened a meeting with the Thai Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Vietnam to discuss the reinforcement of the supply chain and the exploration of fresh trade and investment prospects for Thailand in Vietnam.

Deputy Prime Minister Panpree emphasized the intimate ties between Thailand and Vietnam, underscoring the significance of nurturing economic relationships for mutual advancement. He encouraged Thai enterprises to sustain their collaboration with the Royal Thai Embassy in Hanoi and stressed the importance of corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives to bolster the image of Thai investors and advance relations between Thailand and Vietnam. The outcomes of the meeting will be presented to the Prime Minister of Vietnam and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Vietnam.

Non-governmental organizations in attendance featured executives from Thai Cement, Bangkok Bank, Central Retail, B.Grimm Power, Export-Import Bank of Thailand, and others, including AMATA VN Public Company Limited, where Mrs. Somhatai Panichewa serves as the Chief Executive Officer. During the meeting, Mrs. Somhatai contributed insights and recommendations to enhance cooperation between the two nations, ultimately fostering greater economic opportunities.
