With the signing of a land sublease agreement today between Castem Vietnam and AMATA City Ha Long Joint Stock Company for 2 hectares of land, Castem Vietnam, a manufacturer of precision mechanical parts with expertise in casting, cutting and precision mechanical detailing, has officially become AMATA City Ha Long's first Japanese investor. Earlier, in May 2023, the company was awarded with an investment registration certificate from Quang Ninh province.
Mr. Komoto Tomoshi, General Director of Castem Vietnam and Mr. Nguyen Van Nhan, General Director of AMATA City Ha Long signed the agreement at Quang Yen Town office, in the presence of Quang Yen Town Chairman Mr. Tran Duc Thang.
Construction of the new project, worth US18.6 million, will commence soon, and production is expected to start by the end of December 2024, creating some 500 jobs for the local community.

Established in 1970 in Japan, Castem operates several factories in Japan, and has a global presence in Southeast Asia, namely Thailand and the Philippines, the US and Colombia. Castem is well known for precision casting products with technologies in lost wax casting, digital casting, MIM, CT scanning, 3D modeling and submicron 3D printing etc.
The new plant at AMATA's North Vietnam industrial park will be the company's first facility in Vietnam.
