Promoting High-Quality Human Resources in Phu Tho: Amata City Ha Long, AIT, and HVU Signed Strategic Cooperation Agreement

As part of a courtesy visit to Phu Tho Province, on the morning of August 14, 2025, Amata City Ha Long signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Asian Institute of Technology in Vietnam (AIT) and Hung Vuong University (HVU) to collaborate on training and developing high-quality human resources for Phu Tho Province. This initiative is a part of the strategic agreement between Amata and Phu Tho, signed on May 16, 2025, in Hanoi.

 The event was attended by representatives from all parties:

  • From Amata City Ha Long: Ms. Somhatai Panichewa – CEO of Amata VN PCL; Mr. Aukkares Choochouy – Member of the Board of Directors of Amata VN PCL; Mr. Nguyen Van Nhan – General Director of Amata City Ha Long JSC; and Mr. Omika Takeshi – Deputy General Director of Amata City Ha Long JSC.
  • From AIT Vietnam: Dr. Phung Van Dong – Director; Mr. Nguyen Xuan Vang – Senior Advisor.
  • From Hung Vuong University: Dr. Do Khac Thanh – Principal; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Phan Thi Tinh – Vice Principal.
  • Guest representatives: Leaders of Phu Tho Industrial Zones Authority and the Investment Promotion & Enterprise Support Center.

During the ceremony, Ms. Somhatai Panichewa, CEO of Amata VN PCL, emphasized Amata’s role in bridging universities and international organizations. She expressed that this partnership would help Hung Vuong University enhance its ranking and achieve its goal of entering the top 50 universities in Vietnam.

Representatives from AIT and HVU agreed to promptly implement high-quality short-term training programs in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, and higher education for faculty members. Additionally, the parties will explore further collaboration in semiconductor training.

Based on discussions at the ceremony, the three parties signed an MOU focusing on three main areas:

  • Training: Sharing enrollment and labor demand information; supporting student internships and practical experiences; and jointly developing postgraduate programs, especially in digital technology and semiconductors.
  • Recruitment: Providing job opportunities for HVU students and participating in job fairs and promoting internship/recruitment programs.
  • Scientific Research Collaboration: Organizing seminars and scientific conferences; implementing joint research projects and exchanging academic materials.

This MOU holds significant importance, leveraging the strengths of all parties to create long-term benefits and foster sustainable development of high-quality human resources in Phu Tho Province.
