BANGKOK — Amata VN Public Company Limited, Thailand’s pioneering industrial estate developer, has firmly positioned itself at the vanguard of future ASEAN economic integration during the high-profile Thailand–Vietnam Business Forum 2026.

The landmark event, held at The Ritz-Carlton, Bangkok, commemorated the golden jubilee of diplomatic relations between the two nations. The forum formed a centrepiece of the official state visit to Thailand by H.E. Tô Lâm, General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam and State President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.

Amata VN CEO Somhatai Panichewa had the honor of meeting President To Lam in a private session held on the sidelines of the forum, alongside prominent Thai corporations that have been at the forefront of investing in Vietnam.

Seizing the momentum, Mrs. Somhatai reaffirmed Amata's deeply rooted ties to the country. "Amata’s journey in Vietnam is built on an unwavering commitment to the nation's long-term growth and shared prosperity," Mrs. Somhatai stated following the high-level business forum. "We do not view our presence merely through the lens of industrial expansion, but as a sustainable partnership. By embedding environmental, social, and governance (ESG) principles into our core strategy, we aim to drive resilient economic development that empowers local communities, supports state infrastructure goals, and secures robust long-term growth prospects for the entire region."

Driven by Quality, Not Volume

The forum’s central theme of “growing together” set a collaborative tone for senior leaders and some 500 delegates looking to unlock new cross-border investment corridors.

Speaking at the first panel discussion, titled “Thailand–Vietnam Cooperation: A New Growth Driver for ASEAN,” Mr Osamu Sudo, Deputy Chief Executive Officer of Amata VN, detailed how industrial developers must evolve to meet modern economic demands. Drawing on over 19 years of leadership in sales and marketing, Mr Sudo emphasised that the company’s regional strategy has shifted definitively away from volume and toward high-value quality. "Our strategy is fundamentally quality-driven rather than volume-driven," Mr Sudo remarked to the panel, which included representatives from Bangkok Bank, Central Retail, and Vietnam's EVN. "Developing the highest-standard industrial parks is Amata’s key contribution to Vietnam's national development. Our operations are fully aligned with the government's master infrastructure strategy."

He added that Amata is actively supporting Vietnam's transition toward a high-tech, knowledge-based, and sustainable economy, ensuring that new manufacturing networks create deep, long-term economic value rather than just temporary supply chain nodes.

A Three-Decade Footprint

Amata VN’s modern strategy rides on a massive logistical footprint established over more than three decades. Having first entered Vietnam in 1994, the company celebrated its 30th anniversary of Vietnamese operations last year. Today, the company’s Vietnam portfolio is a sprawling industrial network encompassing five industrial parks and three township projects across the country’s primary growth corridors.

Totalling more than 3,475 hectares of land under development, the developer hosts over 220 tenants, has generated approximately 60,000 localized jobs, and has pulled in more than USD 6.7 billion (245 billion baht) in recruited investment capital. This extensive network gives Amata VN a distinct first-mover advantage as Vietnam aggressively targets highly selective foreign direct investment (FDI) in high-tech manufacturing, semiconductor assembly, automotive components, and renewable energy.

Green Horizon 2040

Beyond manufacturing metrics, Amata VN is pushing hard to validate the "ALL WIN" corporate philosophy, which aims to distribute shared value evenly between investors, local communities, and government partners as well as taking the environment into account.

The company's performance has increasingly attracted institutional accolades. Its flagship Bien Hoa estate was named among the Top 10 Sustainable Businesses in Vietnam, while its broader corporate umbrella was recognised for outstanding green transformation strategies. Local community engagements, ranging from vocational partnerships and green libraries to disaster relief, remain active across all provincial nodes.

Looking ahead, the company’s management indicated that its future trajectory will lean heavily into smarter industrial cities, integrated utility platforms, and zero-carbon infrastructure. The company has locked in a long-term corporate target to achieve entirely carbon-neutral industrial developments by 2040, providing a green, tariff-resilient haven for multinational corporations navigating strict international environmental mandates.
