SMART Education and Human Resource Development Policy in EEC

Chief Executive Officer of AMATA Corporation, Mr. Vikrom Kromadit invited Dr.Teerakiat Jareonsettasin, Minister of Education, and His Excellency Mr. Shiro Sadoshima, Japan Ambassador to Thailand, to be key-note speakers at the seminar “SMART Education and Human Resource Development Policy in EEC”, which took place at AMATA CITY Chonburi. Over one hundred of AMATA’s key customers and AMATA’s educational partners had attended this seminar.

Dr. Teerakiat has pointed out the importance of private sector involvement in developing technical and vocational human resource in EEC area and shared the latest educational regulations under Section 44 of the Interim Constitution of Thai Government which allows foreign educational institutions, both higher education and undergraduate level, to set up and operate in the EEC area. 

His Excellency Shiro Sadoshima, Japan Ambassador to Thailand has shared Thai-Japan initiative on Human Resource Development by focusing on developing “practical and innovative engineers” through Japanese KOSEN model. HE also introduced the short-term plan on “Japan FlexCampus”, as the cutting-edge knowledge community in Thailand and in AMATA City Chonburi.

“As AMATA is going towards SMART CITY, SMART people will be the key foundation of the development. With more than 300,000 people working in AMATA area, AMATA is one of the largest market of human resources in Thailand and ASEAN” said Mr. Vikrom Kromadit

Currently, there are 6 educational institutions already in operation in AMATA City Chonburi including a new Kindergarten, SISA@AMATA which AMATA jointly established with Singaporean partner, Kinderworld Education Group, who operate more than 13 schools and colleges in South East Asia.
