AMATA's industrial park projects in Vietnam, spanning from Dong Nai to Quang Ninh, have witnessed a surge in positive developments, attracting investments from multinational corporations in recent months. Notably, on October 5, 2023, AMATA City Long Thanh (Long Thanh High-Tech Industrial Park) and AMATA City Ha Long (Song Khoai Industrial Park) both celebrated significant milestones with new investment ventures.
October 5, 2023, in Quang Ninh, AMATA City Ha Long industrial park in Vietnam’s Northern province of Quang Ninh marked a major achievement as the General Director, Mr. Nguyen Van Nhan, and Mr. Chang Tsung Cheng, the General Director of Renli Vietnam Industry Co., Ltd., an investment from Taiwan, officially signed a land sublease agreement for 2.9 hectares of land. The agreement paves the way for a USD15 million investment in an automotive components project focusing on metal forging and plastic parts.
Renli Vietnam Industry is set to commence construction in the last months of 2023 and aims to start operations by the end of 2024 or early 2025, contributing to the creation of 600 jobs in this region.
The signing was witnessed by officials of Quang Yen town, where AMATA’s Ha Long project is located, and included Mr. Tran Duc Thang, Chairman of Quang Yen Town's People Committee, Mr. Le Manh Tuyen, Vice-Chairman of Quang Yen Town's People Committee, and Mr. Nguyen Van Bac.
AMATA City Ha Long industrial park, has become a notable hub for industrial investment in Quang Ninh province, attracting over $1.5 billion in foreign direct investment (FDI) capital on an area exceeding 80 hectares. Notably, the project’s first investor was Jinko Solar from China, one of the world’s largest innovative solar module manufacturer.
Earlier this year, Swedish Autoliv, a leader in automotive safety system, announced its expansion to Vietnam to invest in a new airbag cushion plant at AMATA. In June, a top leading electronic components supplier, Foxconn announced its expansion plans in Vietnam for two new investments at the AMATA industrial park on an area of 10.4 hectares. On the afternoon of October 5, 2023, at the office of Dong Nai Provincial Industrial Zones Authority (DIZA), key representatives including Madam Nguyen Thi Hoang (Vice Chairman of the People’s Committee of Dong Nai province), Mr. Nguyen Tri Phuong (Head of Dong Nai Industrial Zones Authority), Madam Phan Thi Khanh Phuong (Head of Foreign Economic Relations Department, Dong Nai Department of Planning and Investment), and other relevant departments warmly welcomed new investors to Dong Nai.
The authority officially granted the Investment Registration Certificate (IRC) to Kingfa (China) and Wave Crest (Japan) for their projects in AMATA City Long Thanh High-Tech Industrial Park.
Kingfa Science and Technology (Vietnam), with a total capital of USD 80 million, specializes in high-tech research and production of new-generation materials, standing among the top Fortune 500 Chinese enterprises. The company is poised to execute its upcoming factory on a 14-hectare plot at AMATA City Long Thanh.
Meanwhile, Wave Crest Vietnam is set to invest USD10 million in a new project focused on the production of electronic circuit boards and electrical cables for electronic products. This initiative is expected to significantly contribute to the further development of the supply chain within supporting industries.
Both projects have received high praise for their alignment with the new generation of industry, incorporating automation and innovation to enhance the skills of the local labor force. The combined effort of these ventures is anticipated to create more than 1,000 jobs for Dong Nai Province in the near future.
