'Chuan Shop' Community Products Fair

Posted on | CSR News & Activities

Amata's CSR team, led by Mr. Viboon Kromadit, Director and Chief Marketing Officer, organized two fairs in Chonburi aimed to help local producers selling their products directly to consumers at Robinson department stores, Chonburi Don Hua Loh and Chonburi Bowin branches.

Products on sale included organic vegetables, herbal products, food, clothing and more. There were more than 45 booths with sales going on.

Community and social development are part of Amata's sustainability agenda following the United Nations Sustainability Development Goals.

Since 2018, the “Farm to Factory” Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) project is an initiative to support communities surrounding Amata industrial estates by marketing locally made produce to Amata factories. In some cases, Amata contributes guidance and support, including the design and printing of a professional label and assistance, if needed, in obtaining Food and Drug Administration (FDA) product approval. A variety of products are also promoted on the website www.amatachuanshop.com.

The program aims to provide a bridge between producers and buyers, factories at Amata industrial estates and surrounding and adjacent communities. For example, there are close to 800,000 people from 25 sub-districts or 212 villages living in the neighborhoods of Amata City Chonburi.
