Amata City Lao Signs Agreement with Lao Telecom

Amata City Lao Company, a fully owned subsidiary of Amata Corporation PCL. managing the development of Amata’s project in Lao PDR, has signed a contract with Lao Telecommunication Public Company (LTC) for the provision of strategic telecommunications services.

Mr. Varong Tangpraprutgul, Managing Director of Amata City Lao signed the agreement with Mr. Souphol Chanthavixay, Director General of LTC. The event was witnessed by Deputy Minister of Public Works and Transport H.E. Dr. Santisouk Simmalavong, and Mr. Somdy Duangdy, Executive Advisor for Amata City Lao and former Deputy Prime Minister of Lao PDR, alongside guests and members of the executive committee and representatives of the media.

Lao Telecommunication, the country’s leading telecommunication services provider established in 1996, will be providing telecommunication services to Amata’s project, including telecom services both fixed broadband and mobile broadband at 3G, 4G and 5G, high speed internet services including digital technology, IOT, Cloud AI and enterprise solutions to support Amata and its investors at Amata Smart And Eco City Natuey project. LTC will also provide, maintain and lease services for telecommunication infrastructure within the project’s area.

Recently, Amata signed a concession agreement with the government of Lao PDR to commence developments of AMATA Smart and Eco City Natuey in the province of Luang Namtha. The new industrial city, built in its first phase on 410 hectares (2,562.5 rai) of land and to be developed to become an exemplary model of a modern industrial park with smart and eco features, is targeted to attract investors from around the world. Thus, furthering the economic development of Lao PDR in a sustainable manner and generating possibilities for the Lao people with employment and supportive services.

This strategic cooperation of both organizations will help to drive the region’s socio-economic growth ensuring sustainability aligned with the country’s economic development plans.
