On February 15, 2024, AMATA City Ha Long actively participated in the "Tree Planting on Tet Holiday 2024 Festival”, which is aligned wiht the Prime Minister's Project of planting one billion trees. Therefore, AMATA collaborated with the People's Committee of Quang Yen, and organized a meaningful tree planting ceremony at AMATA City Ha Long Industrial Park, also referred to as Song Khoai Industrial Park.
The event drew leaders from the Party Committee, People's Committee, and political organizations of Quang Yen, investors in our industrial park, and over 200 civil servants, soldiers, students, and teachers from various departments.
During the ceremony, 3,000 trees were planted. This initiative aimed not only to enhance the industrial park's landscape but also to establish green belts for noise reduction, harmful substance interception, air pollution mitigation, and greenhouse gas emission reduction, while promoting worker health and environmental protection.
Additionally, aligning with the Tree Planting Festival 2024 and the Prime Minister's initiative, AMATA City Ha Long Joint Stock Company sponsored Quang Ninh Province with 8,000 Michelia mediocris Dandy trees, a magnolia species native to this region. The trees were provided for forestation managed by the Provincial Military Command, contributing to the Prime Minister's Project of planting one billion trees, approved in 2021 with the goal of planting one billion trees nationwide by the end of 2025. The project aims to protect the ecosystem, enhance the scenery, respond to climate change, promote socio-economic development, improve the quality of people’s lives, and foster the country's sustainable growth.
